FILM OF BARBARA DEN UYL

TAVERN OF MEMORIES
A film about film maker Kees Hin
Twenty-five years ago, Barbara den Uyl attended a workshop led by Kees Hin. At the time, she didn’t understand half of what he was saying but now she wants to communicate everything she has learned from him to others. Together with Hin, she takes a stroll through his gigantic oeuvre. Everything is examined: the attempts to turn anonymous people into heroes of the silver screen, the provocative experiments, the cooperation with other artists, the role of the war, the need to play with reality. This evoked a richly varied picture of Hin’s life in film.
